Notices dated January 5, 2023 through October 7, 2026. Earlier years are on the Department's archive pages and are not collected.

How it is produced

We read the table on each year's page of the Department's WARN notices (2026 on that page, earlier years on its linked yearly pages). Before anything is published, every notice must name a company, have a notice date in its year and report 1 to 50,000 employees. A headcount that is not a single number is shown as "Not stated" and counted as zero in totals; an effective date that is not a single date is shown as filed. The list's "Local Area" column mixes counties and State workforce regions, so pages are by local area as listed, and an entry that names no single known area (such as "Statewide", or "Baltimore" without saying county or city) belongs to no local area page. The type is as listed, with "Plant Closure" shown as "Closure" and "Mass Layoff" as "Layoff"; the full text is in the CSV. The list gives no reason or industry, so none is shown. If more than 5% of previously published notices vanish from a page, the update is held for review. Nothing is estimated or filled in. Totals, tables and the chart are calculated by us from the notices.
