Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Digital Fancy LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company ("Money Tracker Daily", "we") collects when you use moneytrackerdaily.com and the Daily Money Brief, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Usage data. We use Google Analytics 4 to measure which pages are visited, roughly where visitors are located, which devices and browsers they use, and how they arrived. Google sets cookies or similar identifiers to do this. IP addresses are truncated by Google before storage where that option is available.
- Technical data. Our site is served through Cloudflare, which processes IP addresses and request data to deliver pages and block abusive traffic. Cloudflare may retain security logs for a limited period.
- Newsletter. If you subscribe, your email address, sign-up date and open/click activity are stored by our newsletter provider, Buttondown, to deliver the Daily Money Brief and measure engagement.
- Correspondence. If you email us, we keep the message and your address to respond and for our records.
We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, email us and we will delete it.
How we use information
To operate and improve the Service, deliver the newsletter you asked for, measure readership, protect the site from abuse, respond to you, and comply with law. We do not sell personal information.
Advertising
We may display advertising from third-party networks and affiliate offers. Ad networks may use cookies and similar technologies to show and measure ads, including personalised ads based on your activity across sites. Where the law requires it, we ask for your consent before setting advertising cookies, and you can change your choice at any time using the cookie settings link in the footer. Our advertising partners and their opt-out options are listed on this page once ads are live. You can also opt out of personalised advertising through the Digital Advertising Alliance (optout.aboutads.info) and Network Advertising Initiative (optout.networkadvertising.org), and in your browser and device settings.
Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies to run the site, analytics cookies (Google Analytics) to measure use, and, when ads are live and you consent where required, advertising cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser; parts of the site may still work without them.
If you visit from the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area or Switzerland, Google Analytics does not load unless you accept it. Elsewhere it loads by default. Wherever you are, you can accept or refuse it at any time with the "Cookie settings" link in the footer; refusing also deletes the Google Analytics cookies already set. Your choice is stored in your browser.
Service providers
Google (analytics and advertising), Cloudflare (hosting, security), Buttondown (newsletter), and DigitalOcean (servers) process data on our behalf under their own terms. Some are located in the United States; if you visit from elsewhere, your data is transferred to and processed in the United States.
Retention
Analytics data is kept for the period configured in Google Analytics (currently 14 months). Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe, after which it is deleted or anonymised within 30 days. Correspondence is kept for up to two years unless a longer period is required by law.
Your rights and choices
- Unsubscribe from the newsletter using the link in every email.
- Block cookies in your browser, or opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on.
- Depending on where you live (including California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, the EU and the UK), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal information, to opt out of targeted advertising or "sale"/"sharing", and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell personal information. To exercise any right, email editor@moneytrackerdaily.com; we will verify your request and respond within the time required by law, and you may appeal a decision by replying to our response.
- We honour Global Privacy Control signals as an opt-out of targeted advertising where required.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards, including HTTPS everywhere and restricted access to systems, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Changes
We may update this policy by posting a new version with a new date.
